#S22E18 THE WORLD PREMIERE EPISODE
As I have reached my senior year at the illustrious South Carolina State University I have realized that I have not contributed to the school in which a way that I would have wanted. The creative development behind out first web series titled "Inside SC State" is what I think I have been missing in my contributions to the transformation of lives and inspiring greatness to by fellow and future bulldogs.
As a student and a woman who loves television I have been itching to develop quality content for our universities very on television show. Being that ,this is the first production I feel as though I have learned a lot and I am trying to get others involved in the production as well to continue on once myself and the current staff has graduated. Inside SC State offers anchoring, production, director, spotlight, graphic design, musical, and other opportunities to showcase the positive things being accomplished on campus. In this particular production, broadcasting students were able to work in front and behind the camera, musicians were able to show their craft, Public Service Announcements were made and more.
Inside SC State also is marekting tool for recruitment at the university. Once students see that they can produce, star, or feature in a television show and can see the many positive things the campus has to offer they would be more likely to want to continue their education at the university amidst to what other media outlets may say.
Below check out the World Premiere Episode One of Inside SC State directed and produced by yours truly.

#S22E16 The Out On The Streets Episode
In my Advanced Television Production course we were given an assignment to go around campus and ask students a question. I decided to ask students "If you could only listen to one album by your favorite artist for the rest of your life what would that album be and why." Even though I did not put all of the responses in the video majority of the students agreed that J. Cole was their favorite artist and they had a difficult time narrowing down their life to just one album by the artist.
Post production for the project was fairly simple. Locating the video clips, adding the titles, and transitions were all pretty self explanatory however the actual filming of the video took some time and needs lots of work.
Filming in the day time and having to know and understand how to adjust the camera's focus, lighting, and white balance is not as simple as it seems. With the sun constantly going in and out as a videographer you really have to know and understand how to operate a camera.
I enjoyed this project and hope to redo it again with more knowledge of how to operate the camera.

#S22E10 The Bulldog Defender Episode
Currently I have taken on the responsibility as the Chief of Staff of Student Media at South Carolina State. While working for Student Media I have also taken on the role as one of the producers of our online web series Inside State for our Bulldog Television channel. Inside State covers live events happening on the campus of SC State while also conducting spotlight interviews with commercials. Personally I have conceptualized many commercial ideas and concepts. Below is an exclusive sneak peek of South Carolina State students expressing how SC State has benefited them academically, socially, and professionally that I filmed and edited using Final Cut Pro.

#S22E08 The Prezi-ntation Episode
Throughout my educational career whenever there was time for me to present information to someone or some organization my first option was to use PowerPoint. Overtime PowerPoint has gradually advanced and has allowed for text, audio, graphics and video with added animations to adequately present information.
However over the past few years that I have been in college I was introduced to a new way of presenting information through Prezi. Prezi is an alternate more advanced online version of PowerPoint. With Prezi you are still able to add text, audio, graphics, and videos all with a very interactive theme that allows for customization's and animations.
My first time using Prezi was three years ago in my Advanced College Grammar and Composition Course at South Carolina State University. Initially I was very annoyed with just about all of what Prezi had to offer. I loved the themes however the constant zooming, not knowing how to insert graphics, not being able to completely customize things as I would have been able to made me want to run back to my traditional PowerPoint. However, I am a person who enjoys a challenge therefore for another class assignment for a different class I decided to be unique and create a Prezi presentation rather than the traditional PowerPoint or poster boards that my peers were doing. Gradually I began to learn more and understand Prezi a bit better and now I can say that I am a pretty advnanced user and would highly recommend Prezi to anyone who needs a visual for a presentation.
In my Electronic Media Production Course I enjoyed working on my Prezi which I titled; "For The Record: Ten Artist You Thought Were Black". Based on my love for soulful music I enjoy listening to a plethora of diverse artist. I was shocked when watching music videos or picking up magazines when the person that I saw looked nothing like how I imagined when I heard their voices.

#S22E07 The Ball Is In Your Court Episode
At a time when Chris Webber was the
top draft pick for the Orlando Magic, when the Houston Rockets went head to
head against the New York Knicks, and just a year after NBA Legend MichaelJordan announced his retirement from basketball, another star was born.

On
Jan. 7, 1994 Jeff and Wanda Stephens welcomed
their little bundle of joy, a son named Edward Stephens. The youngest of four this Southern boy, from Fayetteville,N.C, is a family man whose drive and motivation stems from
his deep Southern roots.

Basketball has always been a family tradition in the Stephen’s household. Jeff, Ed’s father, and very skilled athlete, was able to try-out for the Detroit Pistons. As his biggest fan, he instilled the drive, passion, and skills of life and basketball into his son.
Ed was raised in a middle-class environment where his mother worked for
an insurance company and his father a chemical plant."The ball is in your court son," a quote often said by his mother is what Ed continues to lives by. The first in his family to
attend college, Ed “The Truth” as some call him, has managed to keep control of
the ball being in his court as his skills on and off the court allowed him the
opportunity to choose between many colleges and universities.
The determined, intelligent, and ambitious six foot one, medium built, high school senior had opportunities knocking at his front door. After declining offers from Clemson, Coastal Carolina, and Fayetteville State University, the star took his free throw shot and became a part of the family at the illustrious South Carolina State University.

After declining offers from Clemson, Coastal Carolina, and Fayetteville State University, the star took his free throw shot and became a part of the family at the illustrious South Carolina State University.
It was the South Carolina State Bulldogs family environment that made him chose to call SC State home, "everyone here treats me like family," says the guard, "they really came out talked to my family, my mom and sister, I felt like they really wanted me here to be apart of their family." After visiting the campus during its Homecoming week, Ed knew that SC State was truly where he wanted to be. "I came here during Homecoming week, loved the environment and had a blast with what felt like my new family."
After the passing of his father at the tender age of thirteen Ed continues to carry everything his father ever taught him close to heart as he is in his third year studying Broadcasting in the Bulldog County. The scholar has aspirations of becoming a professional basketball player overseas or a sports analysis which came about after his sister put the bug in his ear reminding him "you have a great face for television, and you're really good with numbers."
Ed also aspires to follow in the footsteps of Steven A. Smith as he is factual with being able to debate about sports "I think I'm very good with debating people about different sports teams and I always make valid points with the facts that I have. I feel like I can win with any topic involving sports" says the athlete as he chuckles about his passion.

Currently with outstanding academics, prestegious awards, and contracts already drafted for him once he graduates, the Carolina boy remains humble and focused on his dreams and passion. When asked what song currently describes his life, Stephens replied "Blow Up" by Fayetteville's very own J. Cole.

"When I first came to campus I had to sit out and no one really knew anything about me, then I began to play that song before every game. Eventually after seeing my skills on the court everyone began to know who I was, on campus, the conferences, different teams, people would write me on social media and congratulate me on my accomplishments, therefore that song really describes me because I feel like I blew up!"

Edward Stephens is a name to remember and SC State is where he has started his blueprint for success. To watch his highlights please visit his YouTube channel or follow him on Instagram. If you Google him, you will see articles and stats all over from SCSU Athletics page to ESPN. Ed lives up his nickname "The Truth" as he is passionate on the court, continues to remain humble, and has not changed after his "blow up" of successes. With the ball remaining in his court, Ed continues to guard his passion, while he blocks out negativity, dribbles through life obstacles one step at a time, while he takes his one and only shot at the life God gave him.

#S22E02 The I Know What You Did Last Summer Episode
The Summer of 2015 has by far been one of the busiest, informative, challenging summers I've ever experienced. No time for relaxation so a fall or winter vacation is sure beyond its due date.
While I bounced back and forth from downtown Columbia to West Columbia I also worked as an Assistant Manager at Marble Slab Creamery in the Village of Sandhills in North-East Columbia. I started working at Marble Slab when I was sixteen years old and my boss always welcomes me back to work any chance I can get. I enjoyed my twenty-five cent raise this summer as well as meeting new coworker who later became like family.
I had the pleasure of being a Summer intern at the WACH Fox 57 news station in Columbia, SC. There I had a great time producing live shows, editing videos, interviewing guest, shadowing reporters and directors, and so much more. While at my internship I was able to meet the Mayor of Columbia, travel to Greenville, and had tons of free food!

I also was enrolled in two classes at Midlands Technical College. There I took up an accounting and economics class (trust me when I say I appreciate journalism and broadcasting courses way more than ever before).
